Maybe

Maybe, I really want to learn to dirt bike- regardless of the simple fact that I've given it many a go, only to end up with my body and pride very bruised.

Maybe, I'm in serious need of some head-n-shoulders, this winter air is no bueno for my scalp.

Maybe, I have worlds worst taste in television and am a bit obsessed with Total Divas- go on, judge away, but the Bella Twins are awesome.

Maybe, my girlfriends and I went out in Memphis last weekend and got hit on- A Lot, which felt kinda good to know I still had it- even if I did respond to every corny pick-up line, with 'ummm, yeah, I've got a husband and four kids.' That usually does the trick- good riddance.

Maybe, I have some of the best friends a girl could ever hope for, who love me unconditionally and come up with the brilliant idea to start a school board in design to cure my homeschooling woes.

Maybe, I need a spray tan- even orange seems like a much better skin color than this Snow White-esque vibe I'm attempting to rock.

Maybe, I get insanely nervous when trying to photograph anyone outside my immediate family- So. Much. Pressure. How do people do it?!

Maybe, I'm craving the color green. Some leaves, a thick patch of grass, some small sign that spring is in the air- If it refuses to snow, then let's just be finished here.

Maybe, life has been so good, so full of happiness that any little change makes me unsure. Nervous that it will somehow break the cycle.

Maybe, I should just enjoy it.

  2. Ooh, you got Disqus! Great! [I'm going to swell when we manage to transfer to iwillbloom.com...]. Love your prompt and your responses. See, now, what I mean about being scared of taking portrait shots?! It's quite terrifying! But I got one on Saturday and am off hunting again this Saturday!

  6. Yes- it takes a bit of getting use to, and I don't think I have it all figured out just yet- but I'm hoping now I will be able to interact and answer questions. Excited to see your portraits!

  10. Love this post idea. I am so bad about my tv show selections when I have the chance to watch something by myself. Dan is always making fun of the ridiculous choices I make for shows. Also, I totally understand what you mean about change. I find myself feeling the same way about it.

  12. Good for you for getting hit on. I forgot what that experience is like. And I like to sneak and watch Total Divas too. It's addicting and less aggressive than a Housewives show. Then again, I do watch Vanderpump Rules on the occasion. Listen to me share about my skeletons.
About the hair...maybe wash every other day with a conditioner that has jojoba oil or olive oil. Or Dry shampoo route. dunno. just a few ideas.

    1. Egads!!!! That is very strange, but I will definitely be keeping an eye out! Thanks for all your homeschooling tips, I had heard the term unschooling, but was unclear in the specifics. Loved reading your insight!

  16. Oh gosh! I'm glad it isn't just me with the itchy head. I work at an elementary school and visions of live were dancing in my head. I'm clear of that thankfully, but man this is uncomfortable. Lovely post!

  17. Maybe, I loved everything about this post! I love your response to getting hit on. And I definitely need a spray tan too…they don't make foundation white enough for my current indoors-y colour!

  18. Oh, I hear ya on the scalp. Just another reason I'm ready for warm weather (one of many reasons!) New to your blog - hi!

  19. This was such a lovely post- so many ups and downs, happy thoughts and not-so-sure thoughts. Check you out hot momma, getting hit on by men ;) Though I can only imagine their faces upon mentioning four kids, haha. I also feel you on the green- I'm almost jumping out of my skin waiting for spring to come. I'd be ecstatic over 50 degree weather at this point- just grinning like a fool ecstatic. Cmon February, get a move on and leave already!

And that last maybe was beautiful. It was so relatable, and very encouraging. It's funny how we always wait for that other shoe to drop. But maybe we really are just that lucky :)

  22. This is such a lovely idea for a blog post and almost poetic. There's no need to live in fear, sometimes things really can be just as good as they seem! :)

    1. Yes- you have to transfer them in, and I'll be honest, that I did not set mine up, I am completely computer illiterate, but I've heard it's easy. It takes a bit of adjusting and I'm still not totally sure how to work all of it, but I love getting to converse:)

  29. Green does sound so good. I'm ready for green. I can't use the 4 kids part of the line... but usually husband works. :) Not to say I really go out with my girlfriends that often. :) Maybe the KS weather fluctuation is killing my allergies, and making it hard to stay warm/cool. eeek. Ready for spring. XO -Alexandra
