With November screaming by, I thought I would take some time to write down a handful of activities I'm hoping to do as a family, some tasks I would like to complete, and a few things I'm wishing for.
I think it's important to put down one's hopes in words or lists, to have something concrete to hold yourself to. A lovely reminder.
I'm hoping to get in a quick camping trip before it turns too brisk.
I long to have more campfires and evenings spent traipsing around the farm exploring.
I would like to make some sort of blogging schedule so I'm not hunkered down in front of the computer, staring blankly with no ideas and no draft post to speak of.
There is some minor house re-decorating that I would oh so love to achieve. Mine and Kaleb's room is begging for a little makeover as well as the dining room. I'm dreaming of these -oh, how they make my heart sing.
We hope to create the kids, a large covered cement pad out in the field, so they will finally have a place to ride bikes and scooters and frolic and romp all the live long winter, and it will make my life sooooo sweet.
I would like to find my love for cooking again. I've always been quite fickle with it, and usually only enjoy it when trying a new recipe. Hopefully with fall weather settling in, it will encourage me to seek out fresh ideas and will restore some culinary excitement. Of course owning one of these would help:)
And, I would like to get back in the gym. Somehow I've let it slip in the midst of all our business and I miss it.
What about you, anything you hope to get done in the upcoming weeks? Anything you're dreaming of or wishing for?
Mmm these photos are so serene. And I am right there with you, a blogging schedule would be so nice!

I so know what you mean about having a blogging schedule! I really need one! I have been spending far too many evenings staring blankly at my laptop screen!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Love the chairs (divine!). Love the hat (I've been lusting after a hat like it - I always used to wear hats).....hah, things I'd like to do in the next few weeks? I'm busily trying to get my list together, of stuff to do before December, stuff to do before the years out, then stuff to do in 2015...I know if it aint on the list, it's not going to get done! [I'm looking forward to doing a December Daily album this year - last year was the first year for 8 years I didn't do one :(] Blogging schedule: I just print off a free monthly calendar then log all my posts on that. I write them when I have time and then schedule them on the day I've pencilled them in on the calendar....I wouldn't be able to manage it/fit it in if I didn't approach it with some level of discipline (and I'm *really* enjoying it, so don't want to let it slide).....
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever- I only dream of being so organized!
DeleteAn autumn camping trip has been on my list as well, same goes for a camp fire. I feel ya on the blogging schedule. I sort of have one and still spend way too much time staring at the screen wondering what in the world to write about.

Gorgeous photos! I love palominos, they are so pretty. I think my family has only ever had one, and we've had a lot of horses! haha.
ReplyDeleteSo many of these things I want to do as well!

I don't know how you get ANYTHING done with beautiful horses like that to look at! Good on you!!! Hehe. A blogging schedule is such a great idea. I am so behind on posts and have so many that I need to write that I can't bring myself to create a schedule because it stresses me out so much haha... Which is totally counteractive to the end goal of blogging!!! Ah well.
ReplyDeleteAs always, a lovely post from you x
Um, I'm dreaming of that beautiful horse!!! Is that a palomino? My horse got put down about a year ago and I miss her so!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry! We actually just sold this ones best friend and poor thing is so forlorn.
DeleteLove these photos! And I am trying to get back to cooking too... I have been slacking lately and my husband has noticed. I'm not the best cook but I'm going to try :P

Two things! Save money and finish Christmas shopping. Those two seem contradictory, though!
ReplyDeleteSounds like some great plans! I hope to actually come up with decorating plans for the holidays that I can carry through.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a post on how you camp with the little ones. I have a toddler and am terrified to go camping with him. It seems so over-whelming compared to the simple throw stuff in the car and go I was used to pre-baby...

Oh my- we are actually headed home now for a camping adventure- one night early since one of my boys got a stomach bug:( it's so fun, but SO much. We needed a u haul for all the gear it took. Anyway, post to come!
DeleteThat horse is so beautiful! This year seemed to have flown by! I'm getting some remodeling done, so I'll be in hotels for the holidays. HAHAHA So I don't have to decorate. You have a great list! Don't let it overwhelm you. Do a little bit at a time.

This is such a lovely post, I really want to find my mojo back in the kitchen again too. I used to love being creative with meals, I'm not sure where that has gone recently.

I have a list of fall to-do's as well, mostly around prepping for Thanksgiving, winterizing the house, and getting my closet in order. Such a busy time of year! PS, that hat on your wishlist is perfect; you neeeeeed it! :)

Aw, what a sweet horse! I would love to get a camping trip in this fall, too, but I have a sinking suspicion I won't have time before it gets too cold and icky out :-(
ReplyDeleteOh how I love horses!! Such beautiful creatures! Good luck on your achievements! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have chairs really similar to those in our office! They are so pretty. :)
